Jemma began her playing career playing for Doncaster Rovers Belles, as the club’s youngest ever signing and Women’s Super League player at the time.

Jemma has played for England in their U15, U17, U19 and U23 teams and has also played in two European Championship Finals before moving to America in 2015, where she captained for both South Alabama Jaguars and Arizona State Sun Devils.

Whilst playing in America, Jemma not only was awarded the Sunbelt League Player of the Year Award but also earned All-American Honours, which is a honour list of the Top 33 players in the country, whilst also being placed on the Mac Herman Watchlist (National Player of the Year Award).

Jemma graduated with a first class degree in Sport and Exercise Science and returned to England in 2019. On her return, Jemma signed for Liverpool, until her contract expired and she moved to Bristol City on a two year deal. She achieved 2021 FA Women’s League Cup runners-up with Bristol until transferring to Leicester City Women at the start of the 2021/22 season. She has been a integral part of Leicester’s defence as left-back and continues to do so. Since starting Leicester she has been nominated for the Barclays Women’s Super League Player of the Month award and the PFA Vertu Motors Fans’ Player of the Month.
