Ade Oladipo was born to Nigerian parents and grew up in Brighton with his foster parents before moving to East London at a young age. His involvement in sport started early, as he represented Essex in both football and athletics, in addition to trialing for the Tottenham Hotspur Academy.
Ade began his career in Sports Journalism in 2015 as a Sports Analyst at Arise News. It was there he caught the bug for presenting and commentating. After just a year, Ade progressed to ABN Radio & TV and became the host of their daily ‘Metropolitan Mix Show’ covering all the latest topics from the world of sport in a more light-hearted format. From there, he became Econet Media’s Kwese Sports Chief Boxing Commentator.
In 2017, Ade threw himself into the YouTube world and founded the channel, ‘Ade Oladipo’. Here, he discusses all the latest news in boxing. The channel has over 50k subscribers and has received almost 15,000,000 views.
In November 2019, Ade joined the Sky Sports News football team reporting on all Premier League and EFL transfer news during the transfer windows.
A year later, Ade added talkSPORT to his places of work by becoming part of their centerpiece GameDay programming team. He hosted the weekday show ‘The Social’ on talkSPORT 2, The Men’s Room podcast, and was a pundit on ‘Kick off Added Time’ with Hugh Woozencroft. Ade is still an integral part of talkSPORT’s presenting team.
Ade is the lead presenter for DAZN Boxing. This has seen him present on fights that have included the likes of Anthony Joshua, Canelo Alvarez, Gervonta Davis and KSI. He is also the weekly host of the ‘DAZN Boxing Show’ where he interviews some of the biggest names in boxing. When Ade isn’t in the DAZN Boxing studio, he will be hosting the ‘DAZN Soccer Show’, a destination for men’s and women’s soccer fans to tune in from around the world.
Aside from boxing and football, Ade has covered some of the biggest sporting events in the world for Fox Sports and ESPN. These events include Euro 2021, World Boxing Championships, 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, UFC events, and he hosted the draw for the 2019 WAFU Cup of Nations in Dakar, Senegal. He is also a regular pundit on talkSPORT and 888 Sport, where he covers NFL events.
Having won the 2021 Audio Productions Award for Best New Voice, Ade is one of the brightest voices in the UK media space today. The judges described him as “ a total delight to listen to and a dazzlingly bright new light in the arena of sports broadcasting.”
In December 2023, Ade made his Premier League presenting debut for Amazon Prime, becoming the first ever black presenter of a Premier League game in the UK.
Outside of work, Ade can either be found watching the darts and snooker or restoring furniture, something he’s done for years, he even used to sell the chairs he upholstered! If not, he’ll be in the gym, reading a Lee Child book (he owns the whole collection!) or buying a new pair of Converse (he almost owns the whole collection!).
